review 1: Incredibly enlightening and with beautiful graphics, I've never felt more understanding of knowledge and logic than I did reading this. I really liked the forwardness of the novel with the stripped down version of Russell's logic. Exploring this idea can be difficult but I found it quite easy to follow along. I also found his life to be incredibly fascinating. I was never any good at mathematics but following along to the novel I felt like I could definitely grasp things that I used to believe were quite out of my reach. I also very much enjoyed the stripped down and basic glossary of people and terms at the end. It satisfied the historian in me. I enjoyed this immensely. Would read again.
review 2: (+) Super entertaining + informative. I want to read this for
... moreevery philosopher/thinker. After reading this, I have way more of a command of Bertrand Russell's ideas. Even stuff that I've learned after reading it (or had learned before) sticks in my brain because of this book. (-) I wasn't that into the parts that had the authors walking around California or w/e (was it Greece? Or do I think that because the author's name is Apostolos Doxiadis? I cannot remember ...). Those sections felt kinda gratuitous, but not a deal breaker, by any means. less
