Life After Theft
review 1: I started this book about last week, and I decided not to finish. I just couldn't. Not only was it weird, I just read another book that seriously had the same plot where the ghost was popular and no one liked her and the unlucky guy can see her. I even liked that one better. At least that one explained why the boy can see her. I stopped halfway through the book and nothing happened and nothing is explained. I'm probably never going to pick it up again.
review 2: I was really excited to read Life After Theft because of its interesting premise--the new boy at school (Jeff) meets a gorgeous girl (Kimberlee) who happens to be a ghost. During her life Kimberlee stole a lot of stuff from others and now she enlists Jeff's help in returning everything she stole.
... moreI would have given the book four stars for the way Aprilynne Pike handles the concepts of afterlife, forgiveness, repentance, and restitution. I gave the book two stars because of the swearing. It was so distracting and it wouldn't stop. I'm disappointed that a book with a redeeming message would be so bogged down in base language. There were other situations that made it PG-13 as well--a gay relationship, a kegger party, and a sex scene. less

Didn't finish. Honestly I just didn't care after the first 2 chapters.
