review 1: Whats the worst that could happen when your parents leaving you home a lone with your sibling and you open a box that say do not open! Well that something to find out when you read the Zoo Box. Erika and Patrick do just that and find them selves in a world that is very similar to their own but something just isn't right. The layout of the book is like a comic book, each page having have four panels and speech bubbles. I found the layout of the book interesting because when looking at it you wouldn't think it was a comic. The zoo box is defiantly a fun read for kids of all ages and will get their imagination going on what could of happened if patrick and Erika didn't get everything back in the box.
review 2: 4.5- Cool!!! I couldn't turn the pages fast enough; I
... morewas on the edge of my seat! This book is a fusion of picture book and comic/graphic novel for young readers. It starts out normal enough when parents leave a brother/sister duo home under instructions to "be good." Well, you can guess what happens next. The discovery of a mysterious box leads them to epic adventures! Thanks Netgally (and First Second Books) for the ARC! :) less

Dream or true? A slightly odd little story but one that imaginative kids will really take to.

Pair this with the zoo chapter from Mary Poppins, or Jumanji, or Good Night Gorilla.
