review 1: Probably a biased one sided view of the situation. However, brilliantly written with a lot of passion, flair, sarcasm and boldness. Hard not to be moved by what you read. Unputdownable.Don't read the book if you are looking for an unbiased, objective analysis of the maoist insurgency movement in India. Read it for a detailed understanding of the other side of the story, the maoist view of things. Read it to question, if not clear, the prejudices created by the mainstream media on the insurgency movement.

... moreacate the place where they have been residing since time immemorial. Reality about corrupt corporate-politician collusion in India's tribal heart land. Why have they become rebels...did I say become rebels...sorry the correct clause should be "presented as rebels"... a threat to society. When they stop para-mil forces to enter their places...and the personnels get killed during the skirmish, no body asks what para-mil was doing in the tribal hearetland with a tonne of artilery, arms and ammunitions.The path must be trodden with intent of rehabilitation and resettlement. But before that is undertaken, please make them capable of living and surviving with the mainstream India. First provide them basic eminities like UHCs/PHCs, sanitation, water, schools. Educate them. Enable them to take any vocation. Only then they would be ready to leave that place. It will be a protracted process. It may take another 15-20 years or may be 25. less
