review 1: This is my first time reviewing a book, just to be clear. I have to say that i really liked this book, I always love books where the characters have to really examine themselves due to an event of some kind that shakes them to their foundation, and then they find themselves again via the hero/heroine. This also makes for a deply emotional read, I mean you were really pulling for the chracters to find their happy ending because you felt just as emotionally bereft as they were. I wont say much more, but I would definately recomend this book!
review 2: I found the scene at the end of the house party so unbelievable that I couldn't stand it. I kept reading, but that wasn't easy to do. I am not a fan of having women behave intentionally in scandalous ways that ... morewould have NEVER been tolerated back then. Her reason for behaving that way just wasn't reasonable given convention. The book was good up until then, and had merit after that, but I couldn't get over that scene and the stupid situation she finds herself in because of it. Really! You throw your security away because......???? less
