review 1: Paranormal books are my favorite. I found it very refreshing to read a story, unlike any I've read before. It really ends up being more science than anything mythical, but I really loved it. I thought it was a really great idea for a book, and I liked the Victorian feel to it all. I questioned the decision to let the villain live, since he seems relentless to have Claren or destroy her. He seems truly evil. I'd look forward to a sequel to see if he can be reformed somewhat, or if he'll be back on the track of I'll have her or see her dead. Very good book, and it was a goodreads win for me, thanks so much.
review 2: I was intrigued. No better way to state why I was drawn to this book. The cover looks like an anime. And the black wings. Dark, dangerous and... more mysterious. Somehow from the very beginning I felt I would like this book. Only to be slightly disappointed.“Not that I was a demon” HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I LVE THIS LINE. Very amusing.I did spot a problem though. The transitions for the POV were not very smooth. It’s confusing. So Etrigan has issues. What did I say about guys with issues? I like them. He has bat-like wings..........................I think I’m having issues with that description.I was expecting angel-like wings.Other than that I also had considerable amounts of eye-rolling. Reminds me of The Princess actually. It’s the writing. I wish it was constructed better.Well right. I had my fair share of screaming when Etrigan flew Claren. Then he was hugging her, wiping away her tears… he is rather forward. Or should I say their intimacy was rather forward.Mr. Lowood is a psycho.Etrigan is terribly melodramatic. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA EWWW KURTEN IS DISGUTING.“If you love me, kiss me Claren” WOW EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL?!?! WTH. Etrigan you disappoint me, I thought you’re better than that.So there's a sequel? less
