review 1: Met Jack in the previous book as he works for the Duke and was protecting the Duke's partner. What we did not know is that while doing that job, he was re-connecting with his best friend Will. Will is a hustler and will do just about anything to make money. He is smart, handsome and dreams of living in the country. Jack is a large man, but is shy. Always friends they had drifted apart. Is this their time to finally reconnect in a meaningful way?
review 2: I liked this a lot. This is book 2 in the Gambling On Love series which, for me, marks a return to form for Ava March after the slightly disappointing Brook Street series. I like March's formula a great deal; her books deliver. She writes MM historicals that remind me of classic Signet MF regencies of ol... mored - and I mean that as a big compliment. This is a writer who understands how to pace a romance and I don't see enough of that. And she writes awesome sex scenes that combine heat with emotion. It's just really well done and book 3 can't come quick enough. less
