review 1: My favorite graphic novel to date. When Sadie and her mother move to a new town, Sadie finds herself as the new girl in a high school where everyone has grown up together. To overcome her shyness and have something to talk about, Sadie tells everyone she has a peanut allergy. She makes friends and even has a boy interested in her, but what will Sadie do when the nurse needs a health sheet from her mother and spare Epipen? Can Sadie fake a peanut allergy, or will she be found out and lose her friends?
review 2: I don't know what I expected out of a book where a girl fakes a deadly peanut allergy just to be noticed in her new school, but it was more than what was in this book. There are too many points where an adult should have stepped in. What school nurse just
... more trusts that a student, who claims to always be carrying an epipen, actually has it on her? Just being a responsible nurse would have stopped this story in its tracks. I never fully understood the main character's relationship to her new friends, it just seemed like they were suddenly there, and I felt that there was much more to Zoo's story than we were given. Was his family too poor for computers? Is his family anti-technology, or is it just Zoo? If so, where did he get his ideas about technology. How does Zoo's techno-phobia relate to the main characters desire to develop a fake dependance on medical technology? So many unanswered questions. Plus, the consequences at the end of the book were way way way understated. Maybe the nurse would give her a slap on the wrist, given the nurse's previous interactions, but there needed to be an adult with a consequence that really hits home. This book doesn't have it. less

Great story line, but some of the drawings and topics are a little over the line for middle school.

I shouldn't have gone into this with such high hopes :/ not as enjoyable as I hoped it would be.
