review 1: I read this recently and (of course) it seemed dated, but there are some events that she brings up that are relevant. Overall, this read to me like a collection of rants that were based on facts and then just extrapolated, so to me it just seemed too polemic and not as analytic as I would have wanted. That was not her intent, I don't think, so partly that is my expectation. I do think that she was spot on in some of her criticisms and I will be reading her other books on my shelf (such as Nickled and Dimed) to see if they are better.

Good book . Short chapters, she's quite funny. In some spots it gets weird, but I enjoyed this book.
