review 1: I had a blast reading this book. I am not one for mysteries, but this book has managed to change my mind and give mysteries a second chance. The book flows easily and the relationships built between the characters was magnificently done. I enjoyed the humor in the book, even during intense situations, allowing the story to sweep me away. I recommend this book for anyone looking for a mystery book that loves ancient history and mythology themes. For those that follow Egyptian Mythology, they will have no problems following along with this book and enjoy the subtle references to the ancient culture. Well done!
review 2: Anyone who is a Allan Quatemain or Indiana Jones' fan should read Treasure of Egypt: Treasure of the Ancients. Like all adventurer's story, the... more beginning started out slow and steady before the story takes off.Lord Alecsain Brighton won an old map parchment from a Frenchman, that is supposed to lead to the greatest treasure of Egypt. Alec was not interested in the old map until he was attacked and found the Frenchman, who he won the map from, murdered. His friend Samuel joined him to look for the treasure and it was also another way to avoid marriage trap that Alec's mother planning for him. By Samuel's "help", Alec ended up marrying the "Plague of Egypt" instead.This book has all the actions and mysteries in the quest of finding where the treasure map leads to. There is romance in this book. The characters Alec and Samuel are such a delight to read. You will chuckle at Samuel's antics throughout the book. I strongly recommend everybody to read this book. less
