review 1: Audrey is just an ordinary teenage girl. Except for her ability to know things. And her mother who spends her night patrolling the city as, basically, a superhero. Oh, and there's that cute guy who lives with them who is her mother's sidekick and always seems to show up when Audrey is in danger. OK, so maybe Audrey isn't so ordinary after all. In fact, she soon discovers that she isn't at all what she thought. Family secrets are revealed, and an imminent demon attack changes everything. This is a well-written YA novel with interesting characters, just a touch of snark and angst, and an exciting premise. I'm glad I have the second book in the series in the house, so I don't have to wait!
review 2: Kinda cute, and a different plot than usual. I don't think I've r
... moreeally read a similar book lately, which is refreshing. The concept could have been explained a little better since I'm still a little confused. But since the main character had no idea what was going on half the time either, it wasn't too terrible. I was annoyed with the mother who refused to talk to her daughter about what was going on which would have helped her to protect herself better (or at least prevent her from doing so many incredibly stupid things). Overall, the book was good. less
