review 1: There was so much about this book that I wanted to like - the spectacular setting of Bora Bora (where I would really like to go), the other settings that seemed to be carefully researched and presented, nice clean clean writing, an "older" heroine. But the book reminded me of stories that someone tells you or a fantasy that you are telling yourself. You meet a handsome movie star. He falls for you. You get to go to expensive resorts, fly in a private airplane and run around topless. The problem is that is pretty much all you know about the moving star - he is handsome, he falls for you, he has money. We don't really even know what type of movies he is in! And as others have said, there is no real conflict to keep the book going. This was exacerbated for me by the fact that... more I was reading it on my kindle and it makes it harder to skip ahead. I kept thinking that SOMETHING was going to happen. Nope. At one point I checked the percentage complete and it was like 50%. So the next event was that they moved to ANOTHER resort in Bora Bora. Wow.
