review 1: I don't like modern westerns, and I don't particularly like romances, but I love Bonnie's other books, so I picked this one up.It is SO GOOD! I was overjoyed with how quickly I was pulled into the story and how it felt like I was right there with them. I even found myself talking to the main character (in my head, because otherwise I would look crazy) when going through a difficult moment and her giving me a bit of a pep talk. Absolutely a book everyone would enjoy, even if you don't like westerns or romances :)
review 2: I didn't find this story believable. I felt the time period was all wrong. It should had been late 1900 or 20th century. I agree with the reviewer who said, it was "erratic and clumsy" written. In my opinion it had too many characters, so it d... moreidn't read smoothly. Slate was a mess. I liked Ronan the most, even through he was crazy too! This book had potential, but it was a mess. I wanted more detail about each characters. The characters need to be more developed. I don't think I'm not going to read any of the other Lace series, unless they're free. less
