review 1: I don't normally do reviews, but I might explode if I don't talk about this book.It was by far the best book in the trilogy. What was there not to like? You have Daniel (naked in one part hubba hubba), cowboy Talbot (who I hope can find his way again), Jude (who makes me cry every time I think of him), and definitely the pack (I cannot even think about Brent at the moment). I was pleased when I finished the book and realized Grace hadn't annoyed me as much as other female protagonists. She turned out to be one badass woman. She was an amazing narrator and I really miss reading about her and Daniel.Okay, let me say what everyone is thinking; WHAT THE HELL, TALBOT?! ARGH! I fell in love with him in the beginning (even thought about him and Grace), but all that changed when h... moree decided to-- no, I won't include that spoiler in this review. Mostly because I can barely think about it without breaking down and wanting to rip my hair out. But honestly, what the hell? I didn't expect that at all, and I can honestly say I was surprised and couldn't believe Grace wasn't. She was right to not accept his apologies, though it might have prevented such a gruesome outcome with Talbot if she had. Nevertheless, she was smart and her suspicions towards the handsome cowboy with the dimples turned out to be accurate. Extremely accurate. Talbot's betrayal made me like Daniel even more. I enjoyed watching him mature and accept his true nature. I was glad that he didn't keep Grace in the dark like he did in The Lost Saint. Actually, he even let her be in charge most of the time. That made my heart swell up with pride--go, Daniel! Knowing a female can be more badass than you, and still allowing her to be. But that's not saying that Daniel wasn't a badass himself, because he definitely was. I mean, just think about him catching that sword Talbot tossed to him! Oh, and the many show-off-flips-from-the-roof he did! He turned out to be such a strong man, and I love him so much. Definitely added to my 'favorite male characters' list. Lastly, I need to talk about Jude. I hated him in the first two books. I knew he was too good to be true in the beginning of The Dark Divine. I started to feel sad for him towards the end of The Lost Saint. I was so happy that April--after everything he had done to her--still wanted him. It made me happy that someone did. I know that his whole family wanted him home, but it seemed like they were all a little iffy as well. I just felt this deep sadness for this boy. When he told Grace that he wanted to change, I got so happy. Then the ending. I hated that he died. I hated it so much, because the poor boy was changing! He had changed! It was a bittersweet ending, but I honestly couldn't have expected anything less from this author. I am so happy with this book, but absolutely devastated that it has come to an end. Maybe we'll see more of Daniel and Grace in the future, yeah?
review 2: Grace was acting like the superhero in the last book of the trilogy. She has to revert her boyfriend, Daniel, from the white wolf form. Sirhan, the alpha, is near his death, which means the Challenging Ceremony is coming, meaning Caleb will be there with his packs of Gelah and Akhs fighting, Grace has a lot put on her shoulders. What was good about this book was that Grace was able to handle the problems that have been thrown at her throughout the whole story. The parts that didn't work so well was Talbot and how he was throughout the story. Sometimes you can understand his motives and sometimes you can't understand his motives for why he is doing this. He's one of the confusing characters when you have to pay attention to every single thing he does in order to figure out why he does this for a reason.Destiny, Age 15 less
