review 1: I just finished reading Rhinehoth and want to say few words about this book. Firstly the story captivates you from the first pages when Simon Roberts gets imprisoned in Rhinehoth prison. In this castle he becomes plagued with visions from his mind and through these visions he discovers that he is an ancient warrior who has to free a Vampire Prince. I loved that the author draws a mental movie in a readers mind and you can clearly see everything that is happening in your imagination. And this movie is very engaging. I loved this story.

Structurally, there were a number of gaping holes in the plot and the biggest chunk of flashback was sloppy in its execution (and I'd like to see more details of the research that went into the historic setting because it seemed to be all over the place). There might be a half-way decent novel in there somewhere but it needs A LOT of work. Can't recommend this as is. less
