review 1: 4-4.5 starsThis was a really good story. I liked both Jenna and Rob. Their story is BDSM based and very steamy but it had it's sweet aspect too. Rob has made it to my book-boyfriend list. :DJenna is a pediatric nurse and a nice woman. She doesn't have any family and hangs out with her friends when she can. Jenna has a bit of a self-image problems and starves herself because she thinks she's too fat. Jenna has fantasies of BDSM and being kidnapped and a forceful seduction but has no clue how to go about exploring this further.Rob is the owner of the Dungeon, a BDSM club. He has a big family that he loves but haven't had much luck with women. Due to his position in the BDSM community, women either run from him or flock to him. Rob writes BDSM books at a coffee shop and has n... moreoticed a beautiful woman there that he's sees there frequently. He has overheard some of her conversations with her friend and wants to know her but is unsure if she'd be in to his kink. When he happens to overhear her tell her friend how she had a kidnap fantasy, Rob decides to give her her fantasy and see where things go.Rob kidnaps Jenna but with her cooperation. He gives her the choice to go with him or not and she decides to. She goes at first because she figures this is something her BFF set up but soon finds out differently. By the time she does though, Rob has managed to secure enough of her trust that she believes him when he says he wont hurt her and when he gives her a safeword and promises that as soon as she says it she goes home, no questions asked. They spend the weekend together and Rob introduces Jenna to BDSM and she is a good (if rather willful) sub. Rob realizes very quickly that he wants to keep Jenna past the weekend but isn't sure how to do that and isn't willing to give his name. When not having sex, Jenna and Rob talk about their lives and exchange information about themselves (although Rob doesn't tell her his name of what kind of business he owns). Jenna finds that she likes BDSM and the many experiences that Rob shows her. She also relishes his treatment of her and how forceful yet sweet and tender he can be. As they spend more time together, Jenna start to fall for him and wants things to last past the weekend. There is a bit of drama at the end of the weekend and our couple has to get things back on track but a second kidnapping does the trick and once Rob reveals himself, he and Jenna admit how they feel about each other. Rob collars Jenna and they start their HEA.This was a really enjoyable (and hot) story. It was short and the love did come on quickly but it was well done enough that it didn't bother me. Jenna was a pretty cool heroine and Rob was a hot and sweet hunk of a guy I kind of wish would kidnap me. They had good chemistry together. Oh and I loved the fact that he told Jenna she was about 20 lbs below his ideal weight and he'd have to be gentle with her. Talk about blowing away her negative self-image. Classic! I'd recommend this book. Thumbs up. :D
review 2: Kidnap and Kink is book two in the short taboo erotica series, Taboo Wishes, by Brynn Paulin. So far, this series has been light in the way of BDSM and the writer obviously knows their stuff. In this story, the owner of The Dungeon, a BDSM club, over hears his crush discussing her secret fantasy to be kidnapped and taken. He decides to fulfill this fantasy for her, but makes sure she truly wants what she desires. He grabs her in her unsecured parking lot and tells her he knows of her fantasy and gives her the option to play along. When she agrees, he takes control. Their relationship hits a rough patch when she tries to manipulate him into telling her who he is by using their safe word. As promised, the safe word is the end of their game. less
