review 1: I really enjoyed this book by a new author! The writing was great, very funny and witty, with a well thought out plot. It flowed smoothly and was paced really well, I was never bored and read this very quickly. It definitely has a strong KA feel to it but with the author's own flare. Both Jude and Gabby were very, very likable. Jude was bossy but sweet, which is the best kind of alpha Hero there is. Gabby was great, too and her family will be interesting to continue to read about. I can't wait for more from this author!
review 2: This book could not better be described than to call it Kristen Ashley lite. It wasn't as good as a KA book, but it wasn't terrible reading either. Although I will say I would have given more stars if it weren't for the 'shocking revel
... moreation' (sarcasm) of Jude's backstory at 75%. It was such a sad back story that it was almost unbelievable to all of a sudden learn it that late in the book. It felt to me like -BAM???!!! here's a load of drama for you to swallow, and then instantly MOVING ON-. Kinda frustrating. The book was a little chaotic in plot as well. The end protagonist literally had nothing to do with the story as a whole. Nothing. Just in the prologue- which if I were honest, I completely forgot about-completely. I felt like the book was resolved and dragging, so maybe the author decided to try to throw something in to make the ending more interesting. less
