review 1: Kate has nothing left to give. She was eight months pregnant and her relationship with Carson was going nowhere. Carson wanted to be carefree and stay out all hours of the night drinking with friends while Kate stayed home. Not anymore. She calls her best friend Riley, Carson’s sister, and moves in with her. Carson is surprised when he comes home to find her things gone. This was the wakeup call that Carson needed. Now he has to make a plan to get her back before it is too late because he realizes that he cannot live without her or their baby. Riley and Zander make plans for their future and we get to see more about the relationship between Max, Carson’s brother and Bree and we are introduced to Kate’s friend, Lily and her attraction to Tanner. This has the ... moremakings of a great series and the characters are so intertwined but yet separate enough to tell their stories. I cannot wait to see more from this series and this author. review 2: The second book in the Series delivers yet another touching read that brings you to your knees with emotion. We first met Kate and Carson in Scarred by Love and this book starts with Kate seven months pregnant and needing out of her relationship with Carson. Carson is still living the bachelor life with his partying, drinking and not coming home, leaving Kate to deal with her pregnancy alone. Carson knows he hasn't been the best partner of late, but the last thing he thought he'd come home to after an all-night bender was Kate packed up and moved out. Devastated, Carson vows to try and change his life to get her back. But winning Kate back isn't going to be easy and Carson needs to prove that he can be the man Kate needs permanently. Besides a new baby, Kate has family issues with her own family and an intriguing twist keeps you guessing what will happen next with her family as well. The Author has continued to build her characters in this book, and although you don't need to read them in order, both books so far are fantastic and worth reading!I can't wait for Max's book!I was given a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
