review 1: Kylie was sometimes a good heroine and some others bad. Towards the end she came close to pissing me off. It was nice to see a girl who wasn't always thinking about a guy, but also wasn't pushing him away from her every couple of pages. She was a good medium. Trace could use some work to become a better character and it was nice to see him trying to get to the right path.I think that the second book about them was a good idea because things aren't going to work out easily about them. I would like to see some parts of the second book been dedicated to Trace's sisters and Paullie.
review 2: I enjoyed this overall - I liked that Kylie was ambitious and talented and loved that Trace was the hardened, heavy drinking star on the wane. The chemistry between them was g... moreood and it made such a refreshing change for the female protagonist to be focussed on her career but drawn to Trace instead of obsessing over him to the exclusion of anything else. The pacing of their relationship worked really well too, it felt natural and not rushed.This story started to go a little stale for me once they'd hit the inevitable road bump and I was disappointed that she was so willing to change her priorities and go running after the guy. It was like we'd hit a repeat key.This ends well, but there are another two books about this couple. I forsee more drama ahead for them if we're going to fill up two more books - not sure I fancy that. less
