review 1: This is a great paranormal book that has Reapers, Demons, and Guardians. It starts with Cendall who if the first female Reaper to be training. She proves herself when she graduates first in her class. On her list of souls to collect is Lacie, a girl who can see her and is heavily guarded by the Guardians. When Cendall accidently save her soul instead of taking is she is forced to work together with Lacie and Trevor, the Guardian. During this journey Cendall discovers many things about her life and abilities. With all of the twists and turns that come about she finds herself deciding if she is going to stay in her relm or leave going into hiding. In the last chapters she is found out and her fate depends on a panel of judge's of Reapers and Guardians. Where will she... more end up?The characters in the this story were strong. Cendall knows that she has to prove herself because she is female and she sets out to do that. Trevor fights for what he believes in. The main characters and secondary characters are all well developed. This book is also action from the first page to the last page. It will keep you on the edge of your seat. You will want to keep reading to see what will happen. This is the first paranormal book I have read with Reapers and it was great. It will keep you intrigued. It does end in a cliff hanger but the second book is already out. I received a gift copy in exchange for an hones review.
review 2: I cannot say enough good things about this book!! I am absolutely in love with the characters, the story, and the author! I love that it's paranormal but not the same old paranormal! I haven't ever read a book about grim reapers, so I really enjoyed reading about Cendall and her struggle as being the only female grim reaper! The story Candice wrote had me up late trying to see what happened next! I am so excited to have Candice on my TBR list and definitely can't wait too see what's next for Cendall! less
