review 1: The fiction twin text I picked for this book is Beyond the Black Hole by Blake A. and Harpster Hoena. The fiction twin text is a graphic novel about travelling through a black hole and the characters are describing what is going on in the new universe. The nonfiction text provided definitions of a black hole and things that are in space and also provided facts about them. The fiction twin text describes what the new universe is where the nonfiction provides more of the information. Readers will be able to understand the ways that the black hole is describe in the fiction book once they have a background and information on what it really is.

As the current spins the pull of the water only gets stronger, making it harder and harder for an object to get away from being sucked in. However a black hole is not exactly like a whirlpool, for nothing can get away from a black hole. The book does an excellent job illustrating pictures that would be intriguing to children describing how a black hole works. While the book also includes quick comic captions making it more appealing to a students eye. The beginning of a black hole can be the end of something else, is one of the topics that is discussed in the book. This book is full of interesting facts that will grab a students attention as they learn about the intense life of a black hole. less
