review 1: I'm not even a parent and I wanted to read this because I knew it would make me laugh. I think the basic take away is that the French take less shit than American parents and that seems to be a working method. I too think French children are often very well behaved, but to be honest, I think both cultures could stand to learn a thing or two from each other. It takes a village. Or a small blue planet.
