review 1: I got about one chapter into this. There's a bridge, and a mailman, and some trucks, and a mailbox. There was the first mailbox on the other side of the bridge, and the fourth mailbox, because what order the mailboxes went in on the other side of the bridge is really important. OH! Don't forget about the rules of traffic on the bridge......... you just want to run out and buy this right away, right?
review 2: I did not care for this book all that much. The author does a pretty good job if describing life in a small town in Maine (uneventful for the most part) but this book was a little flat. I did enjoy her book The Funeral Makers so I was fairly certain that this one would be along the same line. Not so. I especially did not care a thing about her Authors
... moreNotes at the end of the book. I guess I just did not care about her personal thoughts on war or how she felt about George Bush and the Iraq war. All that just detracted from the novel as far as I was concerned. less
