review 1: My favorite types of books are shifter books, but I have not found too many of them as soon as I found out about C. E. Black's I downloaded both. I absolutely loved this book which is about Sam who has a "no strings attached" arrangement with two men who are best friends and do everything together. They live, work and play hard together which includes Sam until she realizes she has fallen in love with both of them. Once she figures it out she breaks it off with them telling them she wants more. The men storm out without telling her their secrets as to why it had to be that way. Thinking once she cooled down she'd change her mind but when they go back to find her its too late she had moved without letting them in on her secret. They were shifters and worked for the governme... morent and she had fallen in love with both of them and was pregnant which broke the " no strings attachment" rule. I could not put the book down until I finished and I can't wait to read the second one.
review 2: This was jam packed with steam, heat and plot! The best combination. Sam, Jordan and Alex have an unusual relationship. They were best friends that ended up in a no strings attached ménage. Sam just realized that her heart is invested in two men who don’t want a serious relationship. Throw in that she’s pregnant, and she realizes she must move on.The plot was complex. What I just described was just the beginning. There’s also secret missions, a car crash, a drug ring, an illegal fighting ring, kidnapping, murder and betrayal. I really, really liked reading this, and I normally don’t do pregnant heroines (not my thing). My only complaint would be some of the plot twists/saves were a bit convenient. I sincerely hope this is the first book in a series, even though it looks like a standalone. I want Bear and the others to get HEA’s and Sam’s best friend. I’d definitely read more from this author and recommend this to shifter lovers and ménage lovers alike.~Bitten By Books for AReCafe.com. less
