review 1: I think I would have enjoyed this book much better if Mrs. Rivenbark had left her political views out of it. I realize in comedy everything is fair game, but I also think most readers don't appreciate their political party being the brunt of jokes that are simply not true. Maybe she's run out of other material. It seems that she watches an inordinate amount of tv, maybe it has taken a toll on her wit. But the rest of this book was fine, not as good as her earlier works. But something light & quick for a summer day.
review 2: I'd read We're Just Like You Only Prettier and thought it was funny so I read Stop Dressing Your Six-Year-Old Like a Skank which I didn't think was funny at all. After that one, I didn't read Rivenbark for years, but You Don't Sweat Mu
... morech For a Fat Girl seemed very me. Thankfully, I thought this one was funny. I especially like that line in one essay where she compares the Obamas and the Bidens to the Ricardos and Mertzes. less
