review 1: OK, this was reasonably funny at times, but Rivenbark's shtick gets fairly predictable after a while. This one was a faux etiquette book, with the premise that she had received all these fairly specific etiquette questions, when it was clear the questions were just a setup for a particular meant-to-be-humorous rant. That's OK, even the best advice columnists get fake questions, but after a while, it just got a little tiresome.
review 2: realizing that i don't really remember much about this book. i really need to get better about writing these reviews faster after finishing a book. apparently i liked it enough to check another book by the same author out of the library (though i haven't read it yet). so there's that. & i do recall that it is framed as an advice
