What’s coming up in 2018

Well with the new year comes new adventures and there are a few marks on my calendar I wanted to share with you guys that I am excited about photographing and documenting on Instagram and this blog! Keep in mind, plans change and these are all ideas. I will do my best, time and money allowing, to make these mini dreams come true this year.

The first adventure for my new year is the Happiest place on Earth.

Disney | January 11 – 15

However, this trip is going to be a little different than my recent visits. As I’ve said before, this is my last semester of college and funds are getting to be a little more important to maintain, so I have made the very difficult decision to pass on park tickets this time around. The reason I am traveling to my favorite city is to watch my boyfriend perform at the dance and cheer nationals competition at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports. I attended this competition last year as well and my Christmas present from him this year was a plane ticket to Orlando. I can’t wait!

So what does that mean for me? Well…I will be writing a blog post in the coming weeks about what I will be doing outside the parks. Stay tuned.

Mystery Trip | March 2 – 11

Later in the semester, for Spring Break, my boyfriend and I will be discussing trip options. Right now, we are very interested in visiting his family in Seattle. Other options include road tripping to see the law schools he has been accepted to, or perhaps someplace entirely new. This Spring break trip is important to us because it falls immediately after our anniversary. Last year we took the train to NYC for a few days and had a delicious anniversary dinner at Gyu-Kaku near Times Square. After he performs in nationals, we are going to start looking at weather patterns and flight tickets, as well as some unique and romantic spots we can hit this time around.

Lanternfest | May 5

This may be the most exciting MUST-SEE on my list this year. Washington D.C. is hosting Lanternfest which is basically a large festival in the spirit of Tangled. Rapunzel is my favorite Disney princess and nothing would make me happier than to release a lantern into the night sky. AND what makes this so significant to my life is that I graduate college that morning. What better way to enter adulthood and let my life begin then to live out a Disney dream.

This also solidifies for me how my graduation cap will be decorated.

I am so excited to share these memories with you. Thanks for following along!

xoxo,

Emily
