review 1: What is there to say, other than Chelsea rocked my brain again. I think Shooter might be my favorite Hellion though. This was a book of secrets. Secrets always have a way or coming out and it rocks the world of a few of the characters. You can't help but to cheer on Shooter and Tessie. They have both had their fair share of bad karma in life and it is surely time for them to have some good karma. Shooter is super sexy and melts off the pages. YUMMY.
review 2: Life as a single mother is a hardship that Tessie Harlow knows all too well. A struggle to raise her son and help care for her ailing mother. There never seems to be enough hours in the day or money on hand for bills. Tessie spends time with her son during the day, and works as a bartender at night. The b... morear that Tessie works at is frequented by the members of the Hellions Ride Motor Cycle Club. A long standing hook-up has continued over the years between Tessie and Rex. One that haunts Tessie every time Rex seeks out other women. Knowing that Rex will never grow up or offer her a chance at a future, Tessie is determined to make sure she is unavailable to Rex’s every whim. As The Desert Ghosts Motorcycle Club blows into town, they leave a trail of destruction that will leave Tessie struggling to pick up the pieces. She finds security in an unexpected place. Andy ‘Shooter’ Jenkins is the savior that comes barreling into Tessie’s life. He is determined to help Tessie recover and protect her family at all costs. What no one realizes is that Tessie has a secret that will rock the very foundation of someone’s life when it is revealed. Shooter stumbles upon her secret and keeps it under wraps for Tessie. As everyone knows, secrets have a way of coming out when you least expect it. This is no exception. An explosive revelation will affect the future of several members of the MC. Rocking the foundation that their brotherhood is built upon. Life is never boring when you are talking about a motorcycle club and the Hellions Ride is no exception. Tessie’s story is woven with tragedy and determination. Something that is the very essence surrounding Tessie and Shooter. Their relationship was absolutely perfect. Both characters faced tragedy and have now come together. Each offering healing to the other. I loved the way Shooter seemed to have the patience of a Saint where Tessie was concerned. His character showed extreme patience, trust, and understanding with his building romance. This story is a wonderful example of finding light through the darkness. less
