review 1: So I didn't so much read it as I listened to it in an audio book. I still considering it counting as having read it. Anyways...I loved this story plot. It kept me guessing until the very end as to who the killer was. I enjoyed the mix of ritzy/glamorous Hollywood life and the blue collar characters. It was interesting to imagine both sides of the train tracks meeting in the middle and sometimes crossing over.A little bit amateur detective with nosy socialites equals clever with a bit of danger.

Ms. Crane has come up with some interesting and endearing characters, especially that of Victoria Bordeaux, Nicki’s mother. The story was well paced and intriguing with a look at an industry that lives on surface appearances where the truth lies beneath the glitter.
