review 1: This started off well and was an interesting ride through the corruption, nepotism and poverty rife in Nigeria. Unfortunately the story became more and more unbelievable as the book progressed until it was almost farcical. I got less interested as the plot unfolded and I think that much of it was uneccessary. The story would have developed into something much more powerful if had bee purely the relationship between a disinherited boy and a rich but lonely girl.v Well that's my tuppence worth anyway :)
review 2: I wasn't sure about the plot development at the beginning. It was very fast to start with and then the story suddenly stopped and danced around a garden party for several chapters. One of the many stories out of Nigeria that strips it naked revealing its
... more true nature as seen from two different sides of the playing ground. It was an awesome idea to incorporate two narrators, because it gives the plot room to breathe and offers a different perspective to the reader. Generally it's a great story that will a captivate you for less than 24 hours (if you have that to spare). less

An interesting story of reality and fiction with a cruel twist. There is no fairy-tale here.
