review 1: I couldn't stand the heroine, Kit. I'm so sick of naive, frightened, sexually inexperienced young women who've never orgasmed or masturbated and ancient vampires like the hero Luke, who suddenly fall in love with such a woman after centuries of callous womanizing. So that totally ruined the story for me. Ugh.Luke was hot, though a mention of his facial hair - as depicted in the cover model - would have been nice. A lot happens in this story but it's quite short, a novella like the others in this series. It did feel quite rushed, in every sense, thought I don't generally mind. Hart is one of the better erotica writers so that always elevates her works in my eyes. Unfortunately, instead of the delicious anticipation her stories usually evoke, I was overcome by annoyance with... more the cliched, too innocent heroine.
review 2: After reading all 3 of Chloe Harts past books and loving them each equally, I continue to be impressed by this one.Although I did not like Kit in the beginning as I found her close minded and stuck up, I like how her character blossomed into someone strong, will full and funny. I loved the chemistry between Kit and Luke...not only was it sexy but there was alot of humour between them both which i find rare in such. The ending was a complete fuck with your head emotional roller coaster. I cried!!! I read this book in half a day, struggled to put it down. Would recommend easily :) less
