review 1: What did I think? Well, to put it as bluntly as possible, I had to cold shower after reading some of the sex scenes. They were completely graphic. Wow. The only things I was missing were a box of chocolates and fuzzy slippers and I would've been in the zone. By the way, I had to use an extinguisher on my Kindle once it started sizzling in my hands. This book pays homage to the hunky-vampire-versus-nubile-prey genre. I can see why it is so popular. Chloe Hart did an excellent job making you care about the characters and their (um) tight situations. After a while those same situations and couplings became a little redundant. I would've preferred less sex and more plot. Still, the chemistry between the characters were spot-on and the story-lines were compelling. K... moreudos.
review 2: Taming the VampireI thought this was a cute and well written story. It was very short and I read it in one sitting but the story moved along and didn't feel rushed. There was plenty of action and I liked the storyline. The love/hate relationship between Liz and Jack was fun, I liked their playful banter even when they were convinced they hated one another. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series.Bound by the VampireThis was another quick, fun story and I think the events in this one is setting up the overarching story in at least the next book. Being that this was another novella it didn’t get into too much detail but there was enough there that I could understand the “world” and what was going on. We didn’t get to know the characters all that well but I could sense the chemistry and the bits and pieces we got of them helped me to connect at least a little. Like in the first novella I thought the dialogue was spot on, it was sharp and witty and at times had me giving a little chuckle and then swooning at other times. The author packed quite a bit of action into just 8 chapters so I am looking forward to what she can do in the next installment which is the first full length novel of the series.Claiming the VampireAs with the other two books in this series so far, this first full length novel was well written, a lot of fun and action packed. I thought the story moved along at a good pace and it kept me wanting to keep turning the page to see what’s going to happen next. It also tied up some loose ends from the last book which I thought was cool. We also got to see Evan and Celia take the next step in their relationship and were treated to a super steamy scene between Liz and Jack. I liked seeing these characters from the last few books have a big role in this book. I really liked Hawk, in the first few chapters I thought he was a total alpha jerk but we quickly find out that there’s more to him than just that. The chemistry was obvious between them and I liked the twist of her being inexperienced with men. Jessica was a nice strong heroine and I liked her character a lot. Jessica’s arranged marriage to the Dark Fae Prince put a little wrinkle in them acting on their obvious attraction, but there was a cool twist to it and I really liked how it all panned out. So far this is turning out to be a good little series, I’m happy I stumbled upon it! less
