review 1: I actually like this series but his book was so boring and pointless I felt like crying. Mallory was so obvious and bringing Ethan back? Really? Lame. Why kill him just to bring him back from ash in the next book, and why cultivate and encourage a new romantic relationship with Jonah? I have lost the faith in this series after the last two books and I'm feeling like the author has run out of material, going to give it one more book than I'm calling it.
review 2: Wow, this series was going so well, then the author decides to shove an overwhelming amount of bigotry down our throats in this book. And all thoughts of common sense seem to disappear from every single character. What happened? I can understand trying to build suspense and drama, but this got ridicu
... morelous, really. I get that this is fiction, and supernatural fiction at that, but making all the characters incapable of rational decision making is more of an insult to the reader than just plain bad writing. Bad, just bad. less
