review 1: The Great Depression hit us all, and when I picked this book I was looking for specific insights as how the common American would change attitudes towards money and how to at least plan for the worst case scenario should another recession hit in the next few years. I personally enjoy Farrell's comments on NPR but this book was very disappointing. In 10 pages he should have been able to make his point: live within your means and concentrate in needs rather than wants. That simple.

... moreuld only really work well there. So perhaps if you are a big city frugal-ite, this is the book for you. Middle of nowhere midwest-ite living needs a slightly different set of theories. Am not finishing this. less
