review 1: This was a free book offering and the premise sounded interesting so I tried it. I would say it is a mix of Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz meets Monty Python. It has that feel. Twice during reading it I laughed so had I had tears in my eyes. The book does not sustain that pace but there are zingers throughout and clever on every page. It is part satire, part farce and almost absolutely rediculouse which all combine to make it a really fun read.
review 2: This book was beyond hilarious. I never thought a book about thanksgiving could be so entertaining. This one uses as it's basis what is arguably one of the most boring holidays, and spices it up with ninja turkeys, alcoholic ghosts, and unintentional widespread cannibalism. Come on, who couldn't love that. ... moreI found myself constantly reading passages out to my sister as I found parts I just had to share. Not one moment of this book was less than outrageously fun to read. Definitely an author I want to see more from. less
