review 1: I am sad this is the last book in this series.I enjoyed this series very much and wish we had more to look forward to, especially some of the newer characters, Hayden and Brian. Safe words had a lighter tone even with some of the problems the characters were dealing with. One scene in particular had me laughing out loud. this book presented a different side of Tobias as he was more into his role as master and throughly enjoyed it (It's good to be King) but there was still a light tone to how it was presented. It was a nice ending to the series, even though I would really like it to continue. Some thoughts on the series:The communication throughout the series between the main characters was a big plus for me. The way Tobias, Noah and Phan dealt with their issues and worked... more on their relationships helped make the threesome work for me.I truly enjoyed that they were fluid. That Tobias has a need to submit some times, that Noah is able to switch and that Phan - who lives as a 24/7 submissive won the hearts of both Tobias and Noah so they can have a balance to the relationship. With how insecure Noah was initially with Phan, it was lovely to see his feelings towards Phan change and evolve. Noah is a nurturer. I liked that he could be what ever Tobias needed and that Tobias did not take either one of the boys for granted. (yes, there were some rough moments but there is the communication part again that works it out) This just hit all the right buttons for me.I enjoy reading books with a BDSM theme and they vary greatly depending on the author. It is steamy and fun with only minimal angst. I loved it. This series is one I will enjoy reading again.
review 2: This one was a bit of a let down BUT Tobias did redeem himself in his lack of whininess so there is that. I also enjoyed learning more about Bradford & Nikki. The role play scene alone is worth the read-a brilliant combination of hilarious & scorching hot. The trio is still working out some issues in their relationship but I still can't shake the feeling that Phan is a third wheel & the real "relationship" is between Tobias & Noah or perhaps Noah & Phan but... what do I know? In general, I still feel the same about the series being one of my faves overall, I just preferred the first three over the last two. less
