review 1: The art while nice at first is very muddled and dark in the sense that it's confusing and makes it difficult to distinguish between characters.The story is intriguing but it felt like it was somehow fighting to gain the attention of the reader against the backdrop of the art and failed in the process.All in all it was interesting enough that I might check the novel this was based on or the movie.
review 2: Passionless, obvious adaptation of the Lehane novel, with any elements of surprise leached out of the narrative. It is amazing how one word can define this whole book: Genious. I've never read a greater ending.
