review 1: A young adult novel that is also a great story. I enjoyed the interaction between the characters and finding out how they were entwined in each other's lives.Myla a quasi demon is the focus of the story but the other people are just as interesting. Heaven and hell seem to work together and battles are fought to decide where souls where end up. I look forward to reading the next novel in the series.
review 2: 3.5 it had its storyline bumps but has an overall fun and exciting plot with likeable main characters, especially for a YA novel. This is the first of these type I've read in a while where I was excited rather than disappointed to find that the series continues, though this can definitely be read as a one and done.A bit eye roll inducing at times, but that
... moreis partly the genre, plus Bauer keeps it moving and makes you want to overlook the hiccups. I'd like to see a little more relationship and character depth in the next installments and some better plot point continuity. Hopefully a solid start to an entertaining series! less

One word....amateur. The writing and the plot. Initially it seemed fine but by 58% I was over it.

Addictive book, it does I admit, skip about like a frog on a hot rock. But I couldn't put it down

Funny, different, and exciting. My kind of book, plus a strong leading lady with sass.
