review 1: From the first page, "Angelbound" had me hooked. Mostly because it was original in it's setting and characters. Although I do love my terribly un-original and cheesy paranormal romances, it was quite refreshing to have a completely new topic and heroine. The second book in the series certainly does not disappoint. It made me want to strangle the nemesis, Adair, and shout with joy when Myla thwarted her. It's intense, complicated, and downright exciting. Although, I would definitely recommend reading the first novel "Angelbound" before reading "Angelbound: Scala" as it is highly dependent on the continuing plot-line. In other words, "Scala" will make absolutely no sense if you haven't read the first book.
review 2: A good continuation of the story started in boo
... morek 1. Myla is the great Scala but is unable to move souls to heaven because of an object that was left behind which forces her to send everyone to hell. She keeps the ghosts in the towers until the object is found. Adair causes a lot of problems and is able to steal her igni away. What will Myla do? Will she do as her parents and Lincoln's parents want? Well, if you know Myla, she does what she wants and in the end is successful. I really like the Lincoln character and Walker. They are very supportive people and are good to Myla. It is nice to see her mother return to political life and be able to be with Xavier again. less
