review 1: I thought it was a great book with very good visualization. I immediately connected with the characters and I also really liked how she included two different stories into one book and was able to connect them so wonderfully. I also liked how she described the characters and made me feel on the edge when a chapter would end. I would really recommend this book to anyone who wants a quick short read!
review 2: A simple premise - a 17 year old girl is given the journal of her sister - who died a year before she was born, at 17. Summer has always had to compete with the memory of her perfect, lost, elder sister, so when her aunt hands her Shannon's journal, she isn't sure whether to read it. But of course, she does, and begins to realize her sister wasn't quite as
... morehappy and angelic as she's always believed. Summer is a realistic, mature teen who makes a lot of progress in growing up, understanding herself, her own character flaws, and the realities of life. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her. less
