Halloween: My 2017 Picks!

I always put together a list of books to read at Halloween. Last year I chose too many and struggled to keep up with them, which took some of the fun out of it, so this year I’ve picked four possible reads and I’m really excited to dive in and enjoy these spooky tales!

I picked How to Hang a Witch, which I bought in New York last year and have been meaning to read, but what better time than Halloween? I have high hopes for this one!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets because I planned to read the whole series again this year, or at least get a good chunk of the way through. I don’t make TBRs very often because I don’t stick to them, so I kind of had an idea I wouldn’t make it through all seven books before 2018, but I’m moving onto the second for over Halloween – then hopefully the third at Christmas! I really enjoyed re-reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone so I’m eager to get back to them!

Witch Born by Nicholas Bowling is published by Chicken House this November and I think it’s the perfect pick for around this time of year. The cover is stunning and it sounds like an amazing story.

I read Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children for Halloween a few years ago and have only recently bought the next two books, so I’ll possibly pick up Hollow City this Halloween to continue with the series.

I find it really hard to narrow my list down to just a few! I LOVE choosing my Halloween reads, which is why I always find myself with so many. I’m looking at Half Wild by Sally Green now and A Mad Zombie Party by Gena Showalter *backs away from the bookshelf*
