review 1: This book was only okay for me. Typical editing errors like missing or incorrect words drive me nuts. Why do they not have people editing these things?? Though I've seen worse, it is still annoying. As far as the book goes, it was really only okay. Unnecessarily long and drawn-out plot. I wanted to smack Julie most of the time, which didn't help. Some of the conversation was kind of humorous, which is why I gave the book 2 stars at least. The story-telling could have been smoother. Very choppy at times. I've read worse, but I've definitely read much, much better. I have no interest in reading a second book in this series.
review 2: This was an extremely complicated, action filled story with a fantastic hero and a fascinating if not always likable heroine. Jules
... more can be capable one moment and the next, make a silly decision based on emotion the next. Sam is a good match for her, being a little more grounded although he has plenty of baggage, and possessing a really sensitive soul. There's a ton of gun battles, explosions, betrayals, and violence so obviously an exciting story is taking place while Jules and Sam find love. Seems like there will be a sequel (?) If so I would read it! less
