review 1: Pretty much standard vampire-romance. The only difference is this time the chick thinks that she's hot unlike the dowdy/secretly hot girls of most vampire-romance, and somehow she manages to be even less easy to relate to than usual. I don't know how I slogged through this, I guess the writing itself wasn't too bad? Because the plot itself was just awful, predictable and unoriginal. There weren't even any characters to like, not even one ancillary character to latch onto.
review 2: The book seemed like an interested premise to a great author. I was wrong. The high maintenance, whiny Ava was really just a irredeemable bitch in sheep's clothing. The author tries to explain Ava the way she is, but it doesn't save her as a character for me. The plot was re
... moreally thin and boring. The sex was steamy enough, and I liked the way it was written. The character had a good chance of being sexy, but he fell flat for me. At the end of the novel, he reminds me of a doormat for Ava. I didn't get any good fire or chemistry between the two other than sex. less
