He thinks he can remain anonymous, which lasts about 30 seconds, and his life spirals out of control in hilarious ways. Beha offers fast-paced social satire, an Evelyn Waugh or Peter De Vries for the reality television age. The best jabs are at the celebrity entertainment industry and the ways we all turn our lives into performances for social media.

The book is a parody of our celebrity-obsessed culture, with its reality TV and ubiquitous social media. It's amusing and quite well written. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the subject got boring to me, I'm just not that interested in the world it parodies. As I said, though, the writing is high quality. less
