review 1: The title says it all, this book brings the best of basketball and imagination together. The central point of the story is the basketball challenge game horse. In this activity, players challenge each other to make shots that they themselves have already made. If a player misses a shot, they get a letter in the word horse. If they spell the whole word, they lose. The shots the characters come up with are literally out of this world. The speech patterns used by the characters are very easy for the average child to understand. This makes for a very relatable tone. The illustrations uniquely combine interesting drawings with actual photos. This would be a great read for any child who loves sports or has a large imagination!

If you want children's imaginations to start running wild this is the book for you! This is a book about 2 friends that play h.o.r.s.e together, a game I played many times growing up. They try to make the next shot more difficult than the last and one up each other to make their shot more difficult than the one before. The friendly competition and imagination of these children is fantastic and puts multiple great pictures in your head throughout the whole story. less
