Posting my last ‘Sunday Sevens’ of 2017 on Saturday, because I have the whole year to roundup tomorrow.
The weather over the Christmas was typical UK Christmas weather; damp. This year we had extra fog:
Brentor Church on Christmas Eve View from Brentor Church on Christmas EveWe’ve had every other sort of weather since Christmas day; snow – that barely settled – rain, storms and I even spotted a slither of blue sky for a second.
My best Christmas present arrived early in the shape of Lovely Eldest arriving the Thursday before Christmas and staying for a whole week.
Lovely Littlest is spending six weeks touring New Zealand with her boyfriend, so we were sadly without her this year – but my second best Christmas present was face-timing her on Christmas morning.
I’ll tell you about my third best Christmas present next week.
On the crafty present front, not only did I receive some lovely handmade gifts in my Stitching Santa from Claire…
… I also received this beautiful bowl made by a very talented friend, and look how perfectly it goes with the mandala Claire crochet me…
One of my favourite things about Christmas is having time to play lots of games.
Our new game this year was Pandemic, bought for us by Lovely Littlest – who wasn’t here and was the only one who knew how to play and therefore knew the rules. And boy are there a lot of rules! Once we got to grips with most of them, we enjoyed it, but we were still playing bits of it wrong. Anyone else played Pandemic?
My worst Christmas present was a streaming cold that’s still going strong and has meant I’ve barely left the house and worse still I’ve hardly felt like knitting!
I did spend a nice quiet afternoon reading this, while hubby took Lovely Eldest to Bristol airport.
I absolutely loved Dark Matter, so when I saw it I immediately put it on my Christmas list. It’s good, but not as good as Dark Matter.
So that’s been my Christmas. Oh yes, there was food and drink and in laws, but I don’t seem to have taken any pics of those.
Hope you’ve had a good one!
