review 1: Picked this on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. (And yeah, the cover was a big part of that whim). I thing the story telling was imaginative and strong. Character build was solid and the overall concept nicely unique. The flow was fast paced but not so fast it felt rushed, and the momentum arched perfectly into the climax. The closing was slightly sappy, but only slightly. Very enjoyable read. I did find Anaea's constant push back to Hunter's requests annoying as hell. Especially given she knew nothing about his society. That aside, it was a sweet, light hearted romance with all kinds of anarchy and sorcery. Very fun and will definitely get the next in the series.
review 2: The introduction to the dragon feudal society was great. While some have integrated ... moreinto the human world others have kept themselves locked away in the past. Two souls sharing a body for a brief time isn't new yet this was done well. I liked that our heroine wasn't perfect or even whole, carrying a lot of baggage; and our hero sees who she is without the trappings and loves her. Overall an enjoyable read nd I will look for more by this author. less
