review 1: I thought Pendulum was terrific! I haven't read the first book, Escapement, but I plan to read it as soon as I can! This book is very interesting, and kept me reading straight through to the end in no time. I like the aspect of having people with different powers, and to read about all the powers and how they work added an unique take on characters with powers, and I like the futuristic, under the sea habitat; it brought interesting elements to the story. I like that the characters didn't act like dumb teenagers, and made smart decisions. I look forward to the next books in the series; wish I didn't have to wait so long though! I'll look into more from the author, Ciara Knight. Very good book!
review 2: I waited a while after downloading pendulum to read it... more. Over 3 months to be exact. Escapement which is book one was still to fresh in my mind. I'm glad I waited for the sake of getting to relieve some of the action scenes & memories that are revealed in book 2. Ryder & Semara of course are my favorite characters as well as Bendar. I enjoy all the others but the main three listed just make the book all worth it. Bendar has a spunkiness about him that I can't get enough of. Kinda reminds me of the guy from the hobbit movie. Which believe it or not I've never seen. lol I've only seen previews & movie trailers. :-) Ciara Knight makes her characters come to life in a unique way. I don't think I've ever read characters like this & how she portrays them within the pages of a book is pure magic. If u enjoy reading steampunk & into the future type books by all means purchase escapement & pendulum. less
