review 1: These books were so sad. One thing after another kept happening. It would have been fine if she had put it all into just one book but no, she had to drag it out for three. I was very disappointed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you like to feel depressed at the end of a book. I saw a review of the first book by a woman that said she thought she was going to be reading a sweet romance but what she got was Law and Order : SVU and frankly she hit the nail on the head with that statement.
review 2: Wow! Wow! Wow! I couldn't put this book down. Seriously read it in under 36 hours... I was not expecting such an intensity of modern day drama/trials entangled in an Amish setting. The authoress pulled me in instantly-- and had such a way of captivating the plot in 5 words o... morer less. An extreme page turner! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series in one full swoop. (3/4 of the combined book moves along quite quickly, with the last 1/4 coming to a slower full circle ending. Characters, plot, & writing style was well thought out.) A definite keeper. **Christine if you haven't read this already, I know you will LOVE this one!!** less
