review 1: Take a girl with a gift for seeing the dead, throw in a dashing ghost assigned to help her get rid of a demon plaguing victorian time London. What more do you need to keep you entertained throughout the book?I love the plot and the storyline and with regret got to the last page of this book, but fortunately there was book two in the sequel just waiting for me to get my hands on.A must read for any that love paranormal stories.Well done Archer - I will definitely be reading the rest of this series.
review 2: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. In regards to the mystery of the demon, that ending was, as usual, a little predictable. Nevertheless, it was a good solid story and plot. The death of Jacob is still unresolved, which makes for book 2. Which I will be rea... moreding. I feel the characters were descibed well and you could quite easily imagine them. Jacob is a little male chauvanistic, but tries to be a genleman. It is set in 1800's England, therefore, men and women did behave very differently than they would in todays society. It was a good historical paranormal mystery and I like to read all three genres. less
